PDC Consultants Doubles Capacity with 4D Global Group Acquisition

PDC Consultants has become one of the largest and most experienced engineering design, detailing and 3D Building Information Modelling (BIM) companies in the world following today’s acquisition of leading engineering services company 4D Global Group Inc.

The acquisition will more than double PDC’s resources, diversify markets to increase global reach and enhance the company’s already substantial technical capacity.

4D Global Group (4DGG) is an international steel detailing & BIM coordination company with headquarters in the Philippines and the USA. 4DGG incorporates the latest technology to provide customised detailing services to the engineering and construction industries utilizing the latest BIM technology and communication capabilities.

PDC Consultants Managing Director Martyn Weir said the acquisition would see the company move firmly onto the global stage.

“This acquisition will see PDC considerably boost its BIM capabilities including opportunities with our proprietary iConstruct software, meaning not only can we better service our current clients, we can look to diversify into major new markets like the SA, Canada and Africa.
