Last April 17, 4D Global Group Incorporated joined “Run for Japan”, a Greentennial fund raising event to help in the relief efforts of Japan Red Cross Society for the victims of the Japan 8.9 earthquake and tsunami. Several 4DGG Staff together with Greg Brawley (Senior Project Manager) entered the 3K, 5K and 10K races, a portion of the entry fee was paid to the charity. The race was located at Fort Bonifacio Global City; at the 5:40am gun start, 10K participants commenced their run followed by the 5K and 3K runners at 5:50am and 6:00am respectively. The sun rose to thousands of runners who ran to the sound of drums which were beating loudly at the starting line keeping energy levels high till the end of the race an hour after. This was truly a successful early morning event for the worthy cause of the Japan earthquake/tsunami victims.
Also 4DGG staff sponsored each runner and collected another US$875 (P38,000) which was donated to Save the Children Fund : Japan Earthquake Tsunami Relief.
Management would like to thank all the participants of the race, everyone had a great time and at the same time raising money for two worthwhile charities.
